Animal Communication: Establishing the Foundation

What is man without beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to man. All things are connected.

I have always had a rapport with animals, a feeling that my soul recognized and related to the life force within them.  However, I did not realize until I was well set on my spiritual path how greatly the animals in my life had influenced my feelings and actions all along the way. Looking back, I can pinpoint specific experiences and relationships that had a profound impact on how I currently view the world, my Higher Power, and my connection with all life.

Animals Are Great Listeners

All of us need to vent at times.  We need to share our innermost thoughts, feelings, anxieties and joys with someone we trust without reservation.  Someone we are certain will never reveal to anyone else what we have shared.  Someone who will continue to love us unconditionally no matter what.

When I was growing up, this confidant was our family dog who also happened to be my best friend.  Now my husband and I have a menagerie of animal friends including two horses, three dogs, four cats and eight Bantam chickens.  And even though I have a wonderful and loving relationship with my soulmate, there are still times when I turn to the animals.

Animal Consciousness and Death

As I was preparing to write this article, I received an e-mail saying that a friend’s cherished cat companion had died the night before.  I was not surprised by the news, as a recent consultation had revealed that the cat was ready to leave and was only waiting for the person to reach acceptance.  However, in the way of Divine Order, I realized that this was to be the focus of this writing.
